What's new?

We have been working so much with the pendants, that we decided to do something fun with the girls Saturday morning. However, in this town, there isn't a lot to choose from. One thing the girls love to do is go to the Marriott to see the flamingos.
The boat tour wasn't open when we were there, so we just walked around and looked at the birds. Afterwords, we went out for hot dogs.

But before that, we went to the Street Fair at the college. That was fun. We all tried on silly sunglasses, got frozen lemonade, and walked around until it got too hot.

My cat Pyewacket loves to sleep in the sink. She practically lives in my bathroom. She showers with me in the morning and then gets towel dried when we're done. One day I'll need to get photos of her. I think she thinks she's a lab.

And she doesn't mind if the water is on when she's sleeping in the sink.

The First Day of Kindergarten!
She's all ready to go. Her teacher is one of the best in the world too!
She just loves school. We have afternoon school (from noon to 3). It's great though because there are about 3 other kids in her class that she knows from church. We're loving carpooling with Walker and Aubry too.

Backpack...check. Cute smile...check. Flower in hair...check. OK. Let's go!

Waiting in line for her teacher to open the class. Oh! It's so exciting!

But there are some who aren't so excited. It's hard to see her big sister leave every day. There are tears and drama daily when it's time to go to school. See Daddy holding the sad little sister on the first day. Is that Daddy with the beard? It's the 5th member of our house now. It's great for flannel board stories for Family Home Evening.

We've been featured
on a great blog called Everything Up Close. You've got to check it out. She's having a contest too, so you can win a cute necklace (below). It's one of my favorites. The contest starts today and ends on Sat, Sept 20th.

Our friend Lillie, is going to rephotograph all of our pendants (she took the one above). She's an amazing photographer and has beautiful photos. Check out what she's done already. We plan to do this sometime this week so you'll gradually see the photos on our Etsy store being updated. We're really looking forward to this change in our shop.

My husband has started teaching seminary again.
This year he's teaching the New Testament to the sophomores. He loves it. Even though he's not an early bird waking up at 5am. He's such a great teacher and the kids love him.
